Hunt Electric is accepting applications for a “FULL RIDE” journeyman scholarshipwith an approximate value of $6,000. The recipient will also receive full timeemployment, wages and benefits throughout the 4 years of training. To be eligible you must currently be a senior and on track to graduate, have a 2.5 GPA, good attendance, and a clean disciplinary record. See your counselor to apply.
- Spring Break is coming up April 2nd – 6th! If your family is planning a vacation and your student will miss any school days, remember to get a Vacation Release Form from the attendance office at least 48 hours before the vacation. A parent/guardian can call the attendance office at (801) 826-5807 to give approval and then your student can pick up the form. It needs to be signed by all of his/her teachers and returned to the attendance office before you leave town. Canyons School District policy allows a student to miss up to ten (10) school days per year for pre-approved vacation release.
- If your student is interested in coding, there will be a FREE coding program offered at Jordan High School this summer. Students can earn 1.0 credit for Web Design and Exploring Computer Science.
- Brighton PTSA will hold a General Membership Meeting for Elections on Wednesday, April 11th at 11:30 am.

Merit Cord Award Applications for Seniors are now available & due March 30th at 3:00pm. The purpose of the Merit Cord program is to encourage and challenge students as well as reward them for their many accomplishments while attending Brighton High School. A certificate will be awarded to accepted applicants at a special academic awards night and reception. Colored honor cords may be purchased and worn with the student’s graduation robe.
